This type of GFCI provides protection against current leakage to ground. * 230 Vac spas are protected by a GFCI breaker, which is contained in a sub-panel installed between the main electrical panel and the spa. This type of GFCI provides protection against current leakage to ground as well as protecting the circuit against excessive current draw.
